At the first "China Standard Innovation Contribution Award" award ceremony held on October 13th, the GB19517-2004 "National Electrical Equipment Safety Technical Specification" formulated by the National Electrical Safety Standards Committee, as an important safety basic standard in the field of public safety in China, won the second prize. At this award ceremony, the electrical engineering industry won two second prizes and one third prize.

It is understood that in order to vigorously promote China's technology standard strategy, improve the overall level of China's technology standards, and promote the rapid transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standards Commission have established the "China Standard Innovation Contribution Award". GB19517 is a national electrical equipment safety technical regulation issued by the * * Ministry of China. It is the research result and crystallization of many experts from the National Electrical Safety Standardization Technical Committee in the field of electrical safety technology for many years. Its technical level has reached the international level and is in line with the market access technical requirements of industrialized countries and major trade regions.

This standard was developed by 17 experts from 9 units, including Shanghai Cable Research Institute, Shanghai Electrical Science Research Institute, Guangzhou Electrical Science Research Institute, and Shanghai Electric Tool Research Institute, led by the Beijing Institute of Electrical Technology and Economics in the mechanical industry. GB19517 covers a wide range of fields and involves a wide range of product types. It can not only guide the formulation of safety standards for various electrical equipment products, but also provide technical basis for electrical equipment safety evaluation for professionals without safety standards.
